A classy close-up effect that you will always carry with you. You borrow a flat object (dollar bill, tie, coin, card, etc.). Taking out a fancy black pen, you thrust the pen right through the object! As a convincer, you push the pen slowly in and out of the object, then remove it. Hand the borrowed object out for examination. It has no holes or tears! The pen may be handed out for examination or used to sign a card in another routine.
